Rodney Fuqua established Fuqua Paper Supply in 1977, a family-owned business that quickly became a trusted name in the distribution of paper products, food service disposables, janitorial supplies, and cleaning equipment. With a commitment to quality and service, the company grew steadily over the years, establishing a solid foundation in the industry. In 1997, Rodney’s son, Keith Fuqua, expanded the family’s business legacy by founding Fuqua Property Maintenance. This sister company focused on providing exceptional janitorial cleaning services across Louisiana and Arkansas, further strengthening the Fuqua family’s presence in the cleaning and maintenance sector.

Building on their expertise in the cleaning industry, the Fuqua family ventured into a more specialized area with the establishment of Fuqua Flooring. The company carved out a niche in floor care, offering services in gym floor sanding/painting/refinishing, concrete polishing, and the professional strip and wax of various surfaces. This expansion allowed Fuqua Flooring to bring high-quality floor maintenance solutions to an even broader customer base.

As the family business continued to evolve, Rodney’s granddaughter, Mary-Taylor Fuqua joined the company to carry on its rich tradition. She assumed the responsibility of managing Fuqua Companies and Rock Island Place Townhomes, ensuring the continued success and growth of the Fuqua family’s diverse business ventures. Through decades of dedication, the Fuqua family has built a legacy of excellence, with each generation contributing to the sustained success and expansion of their business operations across multiple sectors.
